[16] 6.5" and [16] 8" tang band sub woofers in ported cabinets on [1600 watts] "The Sub Chamber" subwoofer cabinets are custom designed for small and large sub woofers and speakers using a "unique tune-porting formula". They are custom designed for churches, homes and autos. They enable smaller subs to sound just like the larger (18 inch) sub woofers. These sub woofer cabinets mainly use multiple smaller subs that will fit into any home or vehicle with ease, saving room. The subs in this video are 6.5" and 8" tang band sub woofers powered by two "old school" Linear Power 8002sw "voltage" amps (made in 1998 - still brand new). They are actually 2400 watt amps each. However, the battery power supply is FACTORY and will not hold up to major sound equipment. When the voltage of the battery goes down below +12 volts, the 200 watt mid range amp cuts off because it is internally regulated. The Linear Power amps are not regulated! They will play off of what ever voltages they are supplied with.(smaller voltage input = smaller voltage output. full voltage input = full voltage output (above +8vdc min.or so, up to +14.4vdc max). These tang band subs are small but they sound huge!!!!! The great thing though, is they don't need a lot of power, BUT they can handle alot of power. Especially when insalled in a vented or ported cabinet. This is a project i have been working on for a long time in between other projects around the shop. These "towering towers" have finally gotten to a point where i can test listen to them, actually they have been like this for a few weeks. Before i finished up the "body work" on them and sent them out for paint, I had a plan to do a "distance test" to show how far these things can be heard...and from deep inside my shop. We actually filmed how far away it can be heard and it was extremely far, way past what you will see in this video. The only problem is, i lost those video clips in a hard drive crash and to make things worse, i got in that car accident which delayed my game another 2 weeks. Well i am almost ready to pull all the speakers out and finally finish these things but i wanted to at least get somewhat of a distance test in before i pull them apart for the last time. Like i said, i didnt go as far out in this video, as the video in the lost clips, but its far enough to give you an idea. Its the first nice day in a month and its too muddy to go much further. Once finished, and a little more dry outside, i will remake a video like this and we will REALLY see how far they can be heard....stay tuned! the system consists of: 2 crown xti 4000's (bass) and 2 crown 2000w amps..... The Towers EACH will have (8) 7" Ascendant Audio Carbon mids, (4) Morel Tweeters and 1 Ascendant Audio SMD 18" woofer. There is 2 18" Passive radiators in each tower to reinforce the LOW LOWS ...

this is an update to my project that i am working on. It is a bunch of Crown amps powering a pair of towers. The Towers EACH will have (8) 7" Ascendant Audio Carbon mids, (4) Morel Tweeters and 1 Ascendant Audio SMD 18" woofer. Also, 2 18" Passive Radiators PER TOWER......thats what the other 2 holes are for. This video shows some of the "body work" i had to do as well as how i plan on attaching the top towers to the bottom subwoofer enclosures. I will be using Neo magnets. They need to be detachable due to their height at 7' 10" tall. It will make it easier to transport them like this. I can just break them down, move them, and put them back together. A look at the Corsair SP2500 2.1 High Power PC Speaker System. This is a 220W speaker set which comes under Corsairs Gaming Audio Series. There is a lot of engineering behind this set of speakers.
